Entering the Body

The exploration and expression of our sexual energy is not only deeply pleasurable, but a pathway into something more profound. It is an art form — a place where we enter the body fully, where sensation becomes experience, and where energy is not simply released, but felt, moved, and honoured.

The Build

Consider the journey towards orgasm. It is a dance that engages the whole body, from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head. It asks for presence — a willingness to stay with sensation as it rises and falls, ebbing and building, asking to be felt more deeply rather than rushed towards an end.

Staying With It

Breathing into these sensations and allowing the energy to move through the body becomes something more than self-pleasure. It becomes a form of attention. A form of listening. A way of being in relationship with the body itself.

We can become very orgasm focused in sex but release doesn’t have to be the goal. This can be ending the experience at the very point it could begin to open into something deeper.

Circulation

In studied sexual Taoist practice with Mantak Chia, in this practise the energy is not simply released, but circulated through the body — moving beyond the genitals, feeding the heart, the voice, the entire system.

When that energy is allowed to move in this way, it begins to change quality. What we often call “sexual” energy reveals itself as something more — a life force that fuels presence, expression, and aliveness.

The Body Knows

I notice a profound difference in my mood and sense of balance when I am regularly experiencing physical touch and orgasms, compared to when I am not. This shift is not merely psychological — it is rooted in the intelligence of the body. The build towards orgasm, and the release that follows, initiates a cascade of hormonal responses that support regulation, connection, and vitality.

Chemistry

Oxytocin — often referred to as the ‘love hormone’ — is released, supporting relaxation, reducing stress, and deepening our capacity to feel and connect. Dopamine enhances pleasure and reward, increasing motivation and engagement with life itself.

The body also releases endorphins, which elevate mood and soften pain, alongside serotonin, supporting emotional stability, sleep, and overall well-being. For women, increased oestrogen levels contribute to long-term health, supporting the heart, bones, and skin.

Life Force

Seen in this way, sexual energy is not incidental. It is foundational. A force that moves through the body, asking not only to be discharged, but to be experienced, directed, and, at times, transformed into something beyond the physical.

Further Exploration

To explore this further, you may wish to investigate more of Mantak Chia’s work or to look into the concept of ‘sexual transmutation’, as introduced in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill which additionally connects this energy with manifestation.
